The Aarhus University Social Resilience Lab invites applications for a postdoctoral research position focused on archaeological network research. The successful candidate will join a team of innovative scholars exploring the sources of resilience across various past and present societies against stresses and shocks.

Key responsibilities include participating in project activities related to archaeological theory, data collection and analysis, and collaborating closely with other team members in developing new methods. The applicant is expected to contribute significantly to the life of the Social Resilience Lab, engage with a wider academic community, and continue their development as an internationally competitive researcher.

The ideal candidate should hold a PhD degree in archaeology, history, classics, digital humanities, or a related field. Familiarity with at least one of the project's research areas, such as the Roman Empire or the Prehispanic US Southwest, is essential. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate expertise in handling humanities, archaeological, or historical data to a high scientific standard, along with experience in interdisciplinary work and collegiality.
