About the RoleThe software developer intern will be responsible for:
- Supporting the development of software applications using various programming languages and frameworks
- Assisting in the implementation of Green Energy Projects using IoT devices and data science principles
- Providing support for the collection, consolidation, and analysis of data for project-tracking and data visualization
- Participating in the development of quality software practicing international coding standards
- Assisting in researching alternative tools for enhancing internal communications and tracking
The ITM unit at UNDP is responsible for supporting UNDP Country Offices around the world with ICT and Green Energy solutions. Our team is dynamic and informal, and we expect our interns to become vital members of the team.
RequirementsTo be eligible for this internship, you must:
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme in IT Technician/Software Developer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Have a good understanding of software engineering and software development lifecycle
- Have experience or knowledge in the field of IT Technician/Software Developer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office productivity tools and have knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies (Office 365, SharePoint Online, Azure)
As a software developer intern at UNDP, you will have the opportunity to:
- Gain hands-on experience in software development and data science
- Work on a wide range of projects and contribute to the development of new software applications
- Collaborate with a dynamic and informal team
- Develop your skills and knowledge in software development, data science, and project management
