Databricks is a company that values innovation and creativity, and we're looking for a talented Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for demonstrating the value of our Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to customers, using your technical expertise to create customized solutions that meet their needs. You'll work closely with a collaborative and customer-focused team to deliver exceptional results and drive business growth.
The impact you will have:
- Develop strong relationships with clients in your assigned territory, working with an account executive to provide technical and business value.
- Gain excitement from clients about Databricks through hands-on evaluation and Spark programming, integrating with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd party applications.
- Contribute to building the Databricks technical community through engagement at workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
- Become a trusted advisor on aspects of architecture and design.
- Support your customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
- Develop both technically and in the pre-sales aspect with the goal of becoming an independently operating Solutions Engineer.
What we look for:
- Experience in technical customer-facing roles and a background in Data Science/GenAI/ML or Data Engineering and/or Data Warehousing.
- Fluent in written and spoken languages, in Danish and English.
- Any experience of Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients.
- Familiarity working with clients, creating a narrative, answering customer questions, aligning the agenda with important interests, and achieving tangible outcomes.
- To develop a trusted advisor skillset, the candidate must be able to independently deliver a technical proposition, identify the customer's pain points, and explain important areas for business value.
- Code in a core programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Knowledgeable in a core Big Data Analytics domain with some exposure to advanced proofs-of-concept and an understanding of a major public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience diving deeper into solution architecture and design.
- The role requires travel to customer sites in the Nordic region. Travelling approx. 20-30% of the time.
- Nice to have: Databricks Certification.
