**The Role:**

We are seeking an exceptional Associate Professor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting cutting-edge research in companion animal surgery, with a focus on biomarkers and biomechanics.
  • Teaching and mentoring students in companion animal surgery, as well as participating in continuing education and associated examinations.
  • Providing expert care to patients at the University Hospital for Companion Animal Surgery, with a focus on soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Developing and implementing research projects, with a focus on companion animal surgery.
  • Participating in the development of teaching strategies, with a focus on companion animal surgery.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and referring veterinarians.

**Requirements:**

  • DVM or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
  • Strong clinical experience with surgery from specialized companion animal practice or university veterinary teaching hospital setting.
  • Excellent research and teaching qualifications, with a proven track record of publication and academic dissemination.
