About the Role

Mace is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Manager to join our team. As a Senior Planning Manager, you will be responsible for planning and progress reporting, ensuring that all construction works are planned and progressed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing schedules for construction contracts and developing system-based mechanical completion schedules.
  • Interfacing with clients' schedulers to ensure correct interface between construction and commissioning phases.
  • Developing progress reporting formats, including milestone tables, progress curves, and ad hoc reports.
  • Providing planning support throughout the project cycle, including preparation of tender schedules, method statements, and detailed works programs.
  • Supporting all planning functions throughout contract delivery, ensuring accurate forecasting, best practice methodologies for construction and project controls.
  • Assisting with the preparation, assessment, and negotiation of extension of time claims using forensic delay analysis techniques.
  • Supporting cost and time claims through formulation and preparation of program analysis.
  • Understanding forensic delay analysis, EOT claims, and assessment on major claims, overview of major programs, cash flow, resources, progress review, and commercial review in coordination with managers of other departments.
  • Being part of the planning team to develop contract programs, monitor, and report on progress.
  • Assessing performance with operations to deliver project scope to profit and program.
  • Integrating the planning functions of numerous areas of operations by setting up training programs to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and coordination between sites-based planners and project management staff to ensure all planning deliverables are being met.
  • Carrying out budget analysis on manpower and providing timely feedback to estimation.
  • Performing all activities in compliance with the company's health and safety responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Working in a large portfolio of projects.
  • Mentoring and upskilling of inexperienced planners.
  • Implementation of planning principles within the project management community.
  • Working with a large range of stakeholders.
  • Planning of complicated infrastructure projects and summarization of these into portfolio-level schedules.
  • Experienced P6 user (P6 Pro).
  • Familiarization with P6 EPPM (Web) for config management.
  • Management of large data sets into simple reporting formats, through coding and layout manipulation.
  • Baseline control and config.
  • Schedule import and export.
