Job Description

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, our Finance teams play a crucial role in supporting our business and functional teams to make informed, data-driven decisions that drive our Mission and establish us as a stable and trusted industry leader.

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual with strong financial skills to join our Finance team as a Financial Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as providing support to various operational and investment projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Upload and reconcile financial figures and supplemental reporting to Hyperion Financial Management system.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze and report inventory movements, including Excess and Obsolescence.
  • Operational Support: Provide support to Operations, including PPI and investment projects.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in the budget and forecast process.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Reconcile intercompany transactions and prepare reporting figures.
  • Accounting: Handle accounting for holding companies.
  • Financial Reconciliations: Perform financial balance sheet reconciliations and entries in the ERP system.
  • Internal Audit: Assist with internal audit/control processes.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake other ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Senior Financial Controller or Finance Manager.
Requirements:
  • Education: Relevant office education within finance (e.g., Bachelor of Commerce within finance or similar).
  • Experience: Strong experience within accounting/finance.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Danish and English.
  • Knowledge: Good knowledge of internal control procedures.
  • System Experience: Experience with Hyperion Financial Management or similar systems preferred.
