About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Engineer to join our team in Stavanger. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing and revising vital telecom documentation and drawings, including block diagrams, loop diagrams, and plot plans.

Your expertise in PA systems, emergency battery systems, and CCTV systems will be invaluable in this role. Additionally, your knowledge of ICT security, network topology, and the instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Responsibilities
  • Produce work packages for installation
  • Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project
  • Order all telecom materials (bulk/equipment) needed for offshore installation
  • Knowledge of general interfaces to instrumentation/electro/automation
  • Need to understand drawings from different disciplines
  • Discussions with client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions
Requirements
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in telecommunications
  • Lower education in combination with long relevant experience will be considered
  • Advantageous with experience within offshore related projects and studies
  • Knowledge of relevant standards such as NPD, ATEX, IEC61892 and Norsok
  • Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation
  • Knowledge of telecommunication systems such as cables, fibers, LAN, WAN, TMS, etc.
  • Proficient in both Norwegian and English
