Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet (KU) Full time

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) at the University of Copenhagen seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join our team. Our research aims to understand the complex interplay of factors that drive cardiometabolic disease, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches.

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will work on innovative projects to identify distinct subtypes of type 2 diabetes, leveraging two large-scale EU grants. You will analyze extensive datasets to characterize how these subtypes respond differently to preventive interventions and their varying risk of developing complications.

This critical role will drive advancements in precision diabetes medicine by uncovering novel insights into the complex nature of the disease. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of data-driven discovery, delving into vast wearable and metabolic phenotype data repositories, integrating rich datasets with cutting-edge omics technologies.

  • PhD in Data science, epidemiology, bioinformatics, and machine learning.
  • Expertise in handling and analyzing data from wearable devices.
  • Previous research experience with continuous glucose monitors is a plus.

You will be part of a dynamic, international research setting with access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative opportunities within the CBMR and beyond.
