We are seeking an experienced Researcher with expertise in both computational analysis and experimental validation of human intestinal microbiome and plasma metabolome research.

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) is an academic research center that pioneers groundbreaking research towards better cardiometabolic health.

Our Group and Research

The Pers Group investigates the human genome and the human global microbiome to characterize the impact of these genomes on health and disease and to identify interactions between the host and the microbiome.

Project Description

The present research project is focused on a large-scale study of the gut microbiome in more than 600 Europeans with prediabetes, who have been extensively phenotyped at study entrance and at follow-up after four years.

Your Job

Your task and responsibility will be to undertake computational and experimental studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform computational and experimental studies to analyze the gut microbiome and plasma metabolome
  • Interpret and communicate microbiome and metabolome results in a physiological and clinical setting
  • Work collaboratively with the research team to achieve project goals
