- Develops and designs new products that meet and exceed consumer expectations vs competitors, giving Arla real commercial advantage.
- Leads new product development initiatives, ensuring timely achievement of milestones throughout the stage gate process, and maintains comprehensive documentation in systems/tools for successful product launch, collaborating with end-to-end organization.
- Does cost/value engineering of new and existing products by working with local and global marketers, suppliers, supply chain and other stakeholders.
- Utilizes foundational knowledge of food and/or dairy science, ingredients, and recipe development to deliver optimal product and process development. Is able to implement new products and recipes on Arla sites.
- Takes a lead role in product and process-related development projects, working closely with commercial and supply chain teams, as well as other relevant functions. This includes planning, executing, evaluating and documenting trials and experiments at lab, pilot and production scale.
- Solves problems related to product quality and safety.
- Conducts comprehensive feasibility studies to secure recipe implementation, including recipe finalization, quality assurance, and compliance with legal requirements.
- Acts as a strong technical backup and sparring partner, providing expertise on all product aspects.
