Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding researcher with an innovative mindset and intellectual curiosity to strengthen and complement the research profile of the department within Systems and Software Engineering. Research areas of interest include classical software engineering such as AI and software engineering, analytics, dependability and security, evolution, human and social aspects of software, requirements and modeling, testing and analysis.

A priori, the researcher will join the Software, Data, People and Society section (SDPS) or the Programming Languages and Theory of Computation section (PLTC); the section affiliation will be agreed upon as part of the hiring process.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Academic standing showing internationally competitive research, and/or have internationally recognized high potential to make a future impact
  • Experience with supervision of BSc and MSc students, teaching experience, and formal pedagogical training
  • Ability to attract external funding and outreach qualifications
Benefits

The successful candidate must be capable of and interested in facilitating cross-disciplinary interactions both within the Department of Computer Science and across the university, as well as internationally. The candidate is expected to be open to conducting interdisciplinary teaching, including courses for students with a non-technical background.

The tenure-track assistant professor's duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication and research-based teaching with associated examination obligations within System and Software Engineering.
