The KU-CENTER FOR SUNDHED OG SAMFUND invites applications for a highly qualified Postdoctoral Researcher to join our vibrant research team. This ERC-funded position offers a unique opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project, exploring the dynamics of lobbying and its impact on policy-making.
About the ProjectLobbying (A)symmetry: The Dynamics Behind Informed Policy is a three-year project led by Associate Professor Wiebke Marie Junk. The research aims to shed light on mobilization asymmetries and information asymmetries in lobbying, with a focus on climate and digital policy fields. The project combines innovative methods, including cross-country surveys, text analysis, and participant observation, to generate new insights into lobbyist-policymaker interactions.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to data collection steps, including cross-country surveys, text analysis, and focus groups
- Develop expertise in quantitative methods, such as machine learning and survey analysis
- Publish collaborative and single-authored articles in international journals
- Present findings at conferences and workshops
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- A PhD degree in Political Science, Economics, Sociology, or a related field
- Research experience related to lobbying, political representation, information politics, European public policy, or climate and digital policy fields
- Publishing experience in internationally recognized scientific journals
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written English
