Job Description

A tenure track position is available in the Section for Catchment Science and Environmental Management, Department of Ecoscience, Aarhus University, within the area of catchment processes and modelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in catchment hydrology, nutrient dynamics, and transfer, and xenobiotic substances.
  • Develop and apply hydrologic and nutrient and sediment transport models based on experimental data and spatio-temporal data obtained through monitoring programmes.
  • Supervise Bachelor, Masters, and PhD students.
  • Participate in teaching activities at both undergraduate and graduate level.
  • Initiate and coordinate new research initiatives and strengthen the nationally and internationally network of the Department.
Requirements
  • A promising international research profile within one or preferably several of the indicated research topics.
  • A strong scientific background in geology, hydrology, and groundwater modelling, engineering or similar.
  • Expertise within catchment analysis and management and solid competences in development and use of hydrologic and nutrient and sediment transport models.
  • Specific skills and experience in using python, R, SAS or other tools used statistical data analysis.
  • Proven collaborative skills and the ability to coordinate and enrich the Department.
