About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Oil Derivatives Trader to join our global trading desk in Singapore.
As an Oil Derivatives Trader, you will be responsible for implementing effective pricing and hedging strategies to optimize client transactions and drive franchise growth.
You will develop and execute profitable trading strategies, carefully managing position size and risk across both proprietary and client deal flows.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing pricing and hedging strategies to optimize client transactions and drive franchise growth.
- Developing and executing profitable trading strategies, managing position size and risk.
- Carrying out daily desk tasks, including marking forward curves and providing market updates.
- Sharing market intelligence and tactical approaches, contributing to the collective knowledge and strategic direction of the trading team.
- Assisting in risk management of global trading books.
Requirements
We are looking for a disciplined and proactive individual with a proven understanding of risk and a sound understanding of oil and oil products.
Essential requirements include:
- 3-5 years' experience trading commodity derivatives, with a P&L responsibility.
- Excellent understanding of trading systems, exchange rules, and OTC markets.
- Thorough understanding of financial derivatives' risks, regulations, and product-specific trading rules.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a diverse sales and trading team.
