About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI architect to lead the implementation and development of Power BI solutions within our Data and Analytics department. As a key member of the Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for establishing best practices in governance, documentation, monitoring, and resource management for Power BI environments.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive governance framework for Power BI environments, ensuring consistency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement an integrated data architecture that incorporates platforms like Snowflake and OneLake.
  • Design and implement automated monitoring systems to track daily production, resource consumption, platform usage, and compliance.
  • Lead the coordination between the BI platform, business units, and IT infrastructure to ensure seamless production and development processes.
  • Develop training programs for users and developers on Power BI features and new releases to enhance their capabilities and efficiency.
  • Provide system support for platform issues and business support for change requests to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Optimize data models in Power BI and Snowflake to maximize data quality and analytical insights.

What We're Looking For
  • A highly skilled Power BI expert with experience in delivering effective implementations and overseeing Microsoft Power BI environments.
  • A strong understanding of governance frameworks and the ability to establish industry best practices.
  • Expertise in documentation standards, monitoring systems performance, scaling resources appropriately, managing licenses efficiently, and overseeing the entire life-cycle of data analytics solutions.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset and proficiency in data modeling within Power BI and SQL.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI and Qlik Sense Cloud, and hands-on experience with Python, R, and SQL.
  • Theoretical knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling or other data modeling techniques in the context of BI.
  • Understanding principles for designing and implementing cloud applications, specifically within Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps Pipeline and excellent business-focused communication skills.
