Microsoft Power Platform Architect with Power Pages

HCL Microsoft Business Applications Practice is seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Architect with Power pages to join our award-winning team.

The candidate must be able to provide innovative and effective solutions that meet our client's business needs, always be striving for improvement, and most importantly be a lover of technology and all things Power Platform.

Essential Functions

  1. Lead design and architecture sessions with clients and fellow consultants to gather and document project requirements.
  2. Deliver innovative Dynamics Power Platform solutions through all stages of the development lifecycle, from analysis to design, development, testing, training, implementation and service transition.
  3. Architect the system, integrations, security, and any related customizations.
  4. Advise customers on best practices for Power Platform, development or integration processes.
  5. Write technical specifications for planned work and estimate effort required.
  6. Extensive experience working with Power Platform including Power Automate, Power Apps (Canvas and Model Driven), Power Pages, Power BI, AI Builder and Power BI.
  7. Mock-up specifications for our overseas development team, facilitate the completion, testing, and deployment of development projects.
  8. Lead development efforts that may involve multiple internal, client, and third-party resources.
  9. Provide technical oversight across multiple projects.
  10. Assist with technical pre-sales efforts.
  11. Create proof of concepts to establish feasibility of designs.
  12. Mentor other developers and participate in company initiatives.
  13. Knowledgeable on the current state and future direction of the Power Platform and related technologies.
  14. Participate in informal or formal design and architect sessions with fellow consultants.
  15. Implement related customizations and reports to model the client's organizational processes as directed based on the system architecture.
  16. Deliver internal sessions on best practices and new functionality as well as features.

Essential Skills and Experience

  1. Familiar with Azure DevOps or other similar enterprise planning and delivery tools.
  2. Power Platform including Power Apps (Canvas, Model Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Pages.
  3. Ability to write maintainable & testable code.
  4. Skilled in creating & consuming web services.
  5. Experience with common Power Platform data sources such as Dataverse and SharePoint lists.
  6. Experience with Azure Integration Services such as Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
  7. Skilled in Power Platform code syntax and language requirements, PowerFX, API, rest service integrations, creation of custom connectors.
  8. In-depth knowledge of integrating Power Platform with other systems.
  9. Strong understanding of the Power Platform solution deployment model.
  10. Knowledge of software testing and QA practices.
  11. At least 2 end-to-end full life cycle implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or the Power Platform.
  12. At least 2 end-to-end full life cycle implementations using Power Pages, with specific emphasis on understanding of associated security, authentication, responsive rendering, Azure Front Door for caching and web firewall capabilities and integration with other Power Platform components.
  13. Ability to balance short-term demands while maintaining the long-term vision needed to guide a customer through the implementation process.
  14. Ability to work with junior team members both in a project and practice context.
  15. Be comfortable participating and contributing in pre-sales engagements.
  16. Knowledge and experience with developing Model-driven and Canvas apps as well as an understanding on the difference between them.
  17. Familiarity and understanding of Power Platform licensing structure, plans and the costs associated.

Desired Skills and Expertise

  1. Experience using Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other cloud computing platforms.
  2. Strong oral and written communication skills. This includes the development and delivery of oral presentations and written reports targeted for the appropriate audience.
  3. Ability to present to technical, non-technical, and executive level individuals.
  4. Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  5. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited university in a technically related field (i.e. computer science, engineering, IT, etc.).
  6. Proven experience in software development lead or architecture roles.
  7. Proven consulting experience.
  8. Participation in multiple large- or enterprise-scale projects.
  9. Relevant Microsoft certifications in Microsoft Business Applications.
  10. Experience with Dynamics 365 and add-on products (Portals, Field Service, USD, etc.).
  11. Expertise of the Power Platform COE and all governance components.
  12. Experience working with SharePoint Designer workflows, InfoPath, or any other solution type conversion to Power Platform solutions.
  13. Ability and experience working in both Agile/Waterfall project delivery.
  14. Ability to work with functional teams with both onshore and offshore resources.
  15. Expected to be flexible with time and capable of working in a process-oriented environment.
  16. Hands-on professional experience within a consultancy environment.
  17. Expert with Power BI development for dashboards, reports, and standalone visuals.
  18. Any experience working with SharePoint Designer workflows, InfoPath, Nintex or any other solution type conversion to Power Platform solutions.
