Seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join our team at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, Denmark. This is a 2-year post doc position in Daan van Aalten laboratory.
About the JobThis position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in O-GlcNAc homeostasis and associated regulatory mechanisms. As a Research Scientist, you will be part of an international and dynamic team, collaborating with other members of the group and other groups at AU.
Responsibilities- Conduct high-level research in molecular biology techniques, including cell culture, neuronal differentiation, transcriptomics, and proteomics approaches.
- Work closely with the team to design and implement experiments, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
- Develop and maintain a strong publication record, presenting research findings at national and international conferences.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A PhD degree in an area of the life sciences, preferably with experience in O-GlcNAc field.
- Excellent technical skills in molecular biology techniques, including cell culture, CRISPR-Cas genome editing, RNAseq, ChIPseq, Immunofluorescence, and microscopy imaging.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics is part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University, comprising research areas in Plant Molecular Biology, Neurobiology, RNA Biology, Protein Science, Cellular Health, Intervention, and Nutrition. What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary package, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately DKK 425,000 - DKK 530,000 (approximately EUR 56,500 - EUR 70,000), depending on seniority.
