About the Role

We are looking for a talented Principal Engineer - Communication Networks to strengthen our team in Stavanger. As a Principal Engineer, you will be at the forefront of technology, performing work and estimations from concept to execution. Your knowledge in telecom systems, PA systems, emergency battery systems, and CCTV systems will be invaluable. Along with your knowledge of ICT security, network topology, and the instrument and electrical equipment used in the oil industry, you will be a key player in our team.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Producing and revising vital telecom documentation and drawings, including block diagrams, loop diagrams, and plot plans
  • Ordering all telecom materials (bulk/equipment) needed for offshore installation
  • Discussions with client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions

Responsibilities and Tasks

Your key responsibilities will be to produce work packages for installation, discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project, ordering all telecom materials needed for offshore installation, and understanding drawings from different disciplines. You will also need to discuss with client and vendor representatives to find optimal technical solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for knowledge of general interfaces to instrumentation/electro/automation and proficient knowledge of both Norwegian and English.
