The University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Professor in Companion Animal Internal Medicine. As a professor, you will be responsible for conducting research, teaching, and providing service in companion animal internal medicine and veterinary clinical pathology.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and publish scientific articles within the field of companion animal internal medicine
  • Provide research leadership and management
  • Teach and supervise students at both undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Lead a research group and raise external funding

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in companion animal internal medicine, including expertise in diagnostics, treatment, and prevention of diseases. The successful applicant will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience with laboratory management and leadership.

Desired Qualifications:

  • DVM degree and Danish authorization to practice veterinary medicine or willingness to obtain it shortly after commencing employment
  • Postgraduate degree (PhD or equivalent) within the fields of companion animal internal medicine and veterinary clinical pathology
  • Completion of a residency program or board eligibility/diplomate status within ECVCP/ACVCP or ECVIM/ACVIM
