About Us

We are seeking an associate professor to join our Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences to contribute to our mission of advancing knowledge and promoting innovation in animal health and disease.

We are a dynamic and interdisciplinary department that covers a broad range of research areas, from basic science to translational research. Our goal is to set a new standard for cross-disciplinary research, education, and innovation within animal health and disease, making us one of the best public workplaces in Denmark.

The University Hospital for Companion Animals is based in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, and receives a diverse range of patients. Our state-of-the-art facilities include 64-slices CT, 1.5T MRI, ultrasonography, radiography, ICU, and 24-hour emergency cover. Our surgical facilities are equipped for osteosynthesis, arthroscopy, and advanced soft tissue procedures, with electrosurgery and tissue-sealing equipment.

Research Opportunities

We offer a wide range of research opportunities, from basic science to translational research. Our research focuses on strengthening pre-surgical work-up, refining surgical techniques, biomarkers for prognosis, and evaluation of osteoarthritic and surgical patients. You will have the opportunity to develop your own research projects and collaborate with other researchers nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities will primarily consist of:

  • Research, including publication/academic dissemination.
  • Research leadership, including guidance and supervision of researchers.
  • Developing independent research projects.
  • Collaborating with other researchers.
