The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) is offering three PhD fellowships in Computational Quantum Physics. The successful candidates will join our Theory and Simulation (T&S) team and work on large-scale simulations of quantum systems, developing computational methods and capabilities necessary to realize hardware for practical quantum computing.
The team uses a combination of theoretical and experimental approaches, including multiscale modelling and simulation at scales from atomic to device level. We are looking for motivated PhD candidates who can contribute to our research in areas such as transduction of quantum information, material simulations, designs of advanced quantum chips, and light-matter interactions.
Candidates must have a strong background in Physics, Computational Physics, Quantum information, or Photonics, specializing in theoretical and/or computational quantum physics. They should also have excellent analytical and computational skills, a passion for developing theoretical protocols, and be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.
