Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at GEUS. As a Postdoctoral Researcher in Global Wetland Hydrology Modeling, you will contribute to our research efforts focused on understanding the complex interactions between wetlands and the global climate system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply advanced hydrological models to simulate water table depth dynamics in global wetlands
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets from remote sensing and other sources to improve model performance and accuracy
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines to develop novel modeling approaches and techniques
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in computational hydrology, computer science, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB
  • Experience with numerical groundwater flow modeling and differentiable programming
  • Familiarity with remote sensing and satellite data analysis
