We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our research group at the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on designing and constructing yeast strains for industrial production of terpenoids in collaboration with Insempra, a precision fermentation biotech company.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and construct yeast strains for optimized production of terpenoids using synthetic biology and biotechnology principles
- Apply theoretical and hands-on expertise in molecular biology and biochemistry to optimize metabolic pathways
- Collaborate with Insempra scientists to facilitate technology transfer and project progress
- Document project results and progress, and communicate effectively with the research group and industry partner
- PhD degree in relevant topics, such as Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Metabolic Engineering, Enzymology, Biochemistry
- Experience in yeast metabolic engineering, chemical engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field
- Knowledge of specialized metabolism with special focus on terpenoids
- Ability to work independently and see projects through to completion
