The University of Copenhagen seeks a dedicated associate professor to join its Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences.

About the Position

This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the university's mission of advancing knowledge and education in companion animal surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in companion animal surgery, with a focus on strengthening pre-surgical work-up, refining surgical techniques, and improving post-surgical outcomes.
  • Teach undergraduate students in veterinary surgery and supervise graduate students in their research projects.
  • Participate in the development of independent research projects and clinical studies within companion animal surgery.
  • Interact with external researchers and private enterprises nationally and internationally.

Requirements

  • A strong track record of original scientific work in companion animal surgery.
  • Clinical experience with surgery from specialized companion animal practice or university veterinary teaching hospital setting.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
