Your Role: Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager
You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs within the organization.
This role ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and implements effective EHS practices.
The Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager will enforce policies and provide leadership to ensure a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
The role involves strategic collaboration with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into business operations and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety First Mindset: Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance EHS management, ensuring compliance with EHS laws and regulations, environmental approval terms, etc.
- Risk Management: Identify opportunities for improving EHS performance and operational efficiency, develop corrective action plans for audit findings, and track their implementation.
- Audit and Compliance: Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify EHS risks and non-compliance issues, manage external regulatory inspections and audits.
- EHS Training: Develop and implement EHS training programs for employees at all levels, promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
- Incident Investigation: Establish effective processes for investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, including effective documentation and reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action process.
- Emergency Preparedness: Provide oversight of the site emergency preparedness and planning process.
- EHS Risk Assessments: Conduct EHS risk assessments of new equipment, processes, and projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, reduce injury potential, and minimize environmental impacts.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EHS management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate employees.
- Languages: Proficiency in EHS management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Cultural Fit: An ambitious, self-motivated, and organized personality. Excellent presentation and communication skills in English (verbal, written).
