Overview

3Shape, a pioneering company in 3D scanning technology, seeks an experienced Dental Security Architect to join their R&D Shared Applications & Services team in Copenhagen. This role is critical in integrating security strategy with broader business goals and operations, advancing cybersecurity maturity, and anticipating future needs as a SaaS provider.

About the Role

This position involves managing product-based security risk consistently and efficiently, enabling product owners to make informed decisions regarding that risk while providing technical leadership as a central point of expertise across R&D to address new cyber and security queries and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a central point of expertise for all product-related queries relating to Cyber and Security risk.
  • Assess security and control measures, identify deficiencies in the security architecture and effectiveness, and create a security risk management plan.
  • Perform threat modeling to identify, communicate, and comprehend threats and mitigations in the context of safeguarding enterprise infrastructure, networks, applications, and data.
  • Interpret Enterprise Security policy as it applies to products and product development processes to allow product teams to ensure efficient and proportionate compliance collectively supporting risk management.
  • Provide guidance and oversight of product architectures (including development and test processes) to ensure security concerns and architectures are appropriate to the product, reflecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability concerns, and understand and accept residual risks.
  • Support product teams (both medical and non-medical products) in understanding and managing security risk within their streams to ensure controls are understood and are appropriate to risk.
  • Support product teams in generating security and cyber-related materials in support of compliance, assurance, or other regulated requirements, including creating templates and patterns for such material to minimize resource impact on product teams.
  • Owning a register of product and service-related security risk across 3Shape.
  • Manage histories and audit trails associated with security assessments and submissions, reviews, and security events associated with product development to ensure design and delivery of controls and documentation for Enterprise Security policies.
  • Approve the Cybersecurity Analysis Report (CAR) of projects.
  • Guide projects in choosing vendors for security-related activities like penetration tests and be the safeguard for the execution of such activities.
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience analyzing and documenting security-related risk in a product delivery organization, ideally in a highly regulated environment such as healthcare or finance. Industry qualifications, including CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CEH, reflecting both expertise and structured methodologies for assessing and managing risk, are expected. Practical experience with threat modeling tools and methods, risk assessment processes, and developing mitigation strategies is also required.
