Job Description


The Senior Compliance Officer (EEA) role sits within our 2nd Line of Defence, focusing on shaping Pleo's approach to general compliance in the European Economic Area, according to our Danish license requirements. Key responsibilities include:



  • Ensuring and evidencing compliance with general DK and EEA regulations & guidelines as well as regulator expectations regarding Pleo's authorized activities;
  • Supporting the Pleo Group's Risk Management & Compliance Monitoring activities;
  • Providing independent 2nd Line assurance & challenge to business units.


Key Responsibilities



  1. Developing and Conducting Compliance Monitoring Programme. Ensure that our compliance monitoring programme is robust, effective, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  2. Maintaining Policies and Procedures. Stay up-to-date with laws and regulations, ensuring that our policies and procedures are compliant and relevant.
  3. Providing Subject Matter Expertise. Offer guidance and support to business teams on regulatory matters, helping them navigate complex compliance issues.
  4. Reporting and Presenting. Prepare and deliver regular compliance reports to stakeholders, including Risk and Compliance Committees and the Board.
  5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management. Work closely with internal teams, regulators, and partners to ensure smooth communication and effective collaboration.


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in governance and compliance in regulated financial institutions;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience in publicly listed companies is a plus.
