Postdoctoral Researcher in Precision Diabetes Medicine

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, University of Copenhagen. As a member of our interdisciplinary research group, you will contribute to groundbreaking studies on precision diabetes medicine.
About the Role:
- You will work closely with our experienced researchers to investigate novel approaches for subtyping type 2 diabetes and developing precision preventive interventions.
- Utilizing large-scale EU grants, you will analyze comprehensive phenotype data, including wearables, molecular markers, and behavioral factors, to identify distinct subtypes and their response to preventive measures.
- By integrating cutting-edge omics technologies, such as genomics and metagenomics, you will uncover novel insights into the complex disease mechanisms.
- As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing research projects, collaborating with international partners, and publishing high-impact research papers.
Requirements:
- PhD in Data Science, Epidemiology, Bioinformatics, or Machine Learning.
- Strong background in handling and analyzing large datasets, including human genetics.
- Expertise in programming languages, such as Python or R.
- Familiarity with wearable devices and continuous glucose monitors is an asset.
- A strong track record of scientific productivity in peer-reviewed journals and excellent communication skills.
