Research Opportunity in Cardiovascular Models

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic researcher to join our team for a 2-year postdoctoral position. The successful candidate will be part of the Center for Stem Cell-based Disease modelling and Drug Screening, affiliated with the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine.

The project focuses on exploring a novel cardiovascular target and its involvement in disorders. Our research involves biochemical and molecular pharmacological methods as well as screening in stem cell models. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will take a leading role as project coordinator in a cross-faculty project group involving medicinal chemists, biophysicists, pharmacologists, and cell biologists.

To be successful in this role, you must have a PhD degree in pharmaceutical or biomedical sciences, documented skills in cell-culturing and cell-based assays, and expertise in calcium-regulated kinases. Strong collaborative, communication, and project leadership skills are essential. You should also possess excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.

The position is full-time for 2 years, starting March 1st, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. Salary and benefits are competitive, and we offer opportunities for professional growth and development.

The University of Copenhagen is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates regardless of personal background. We prioritize diversity and inclusion in our hiring process.
