Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Purchasing Strategist to join our team in Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and developing a well-functioning setup for indirect purchasing within Business Unit Heat & Gas Systems in Europe. This includes efficient management of safety, compliance, quality, and cost control, while driving impactful projects at both local and regional levels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the purchasing of indirect materials and services in Europe for Business Unit Heat and Gas Systems.
  • Structure and maintain the scope of indirect spend categories.
  • Develop and implement processes for indirect purchasing, ensuring compliance at all stages.
  • Identify, align, and drive cost reduction activities as well as projects to meet site targets, including efficiency improvements.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, contract, and implement key suppliers.
  • Support and safeguard that contracts made by Global Indirect Purchasing (GIP) are followed.
  • Monitor the performance of indirect suppliers and take corrective actions as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Indirect Purchasing with a proven track record.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities, assess risks, and develop effective strategies.
  • A minimum bachelor's degree, ideally a master's degree in Business Economics or similar.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in using e-procurement software and tools, such as e-auctions.
  • Collaborative approach and excellent interpersonal skills.

Benefits:

As part of a global organization, speaking and writing English fluently is a prerequisite. The estimated salary for this position is approximately €80,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
