Job Description

The position is part of an ongoing 5-year research project focused on enzymatic technologies for human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) production. The project seeks to develop new enzymatic technologies for the production of HMOs and involves enzyme discovery, expression and characterization, design and protein engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Purification and characterization of enzymes
  • Design and execution of enzyme activity assays
  • Close collaboration with industry partners
  • Supervision of BSc and MSc students
Requirements
  • PhD degree in biotechnology, biochemistry or a related field
  • Documented experience in protein expression, purification and characterization
  • Experience in enzyme activity assay design and execution
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills
