Responsibilities

• Design and develop IoT network infrastructure for UNDP Country Offices and projects, integrating with Azure IoT Platform and testing sensors and gateways.
• Provide technical support and resolve issues related to network and connectivity using standard procedures and working with UNDP Country Offices IT teams, HQ team, and vendors.
• Handle incoming incidents through UNall ITSM platform and monitor alarms sent by NMS/dashboard, escalating complex issues to vendors or Level-2 support.
• Support capacity building exercises by assisting with global webinars, trainings, and on-site operational support, collaborating with the IoT Team and management guidance.
• Develop IoT system operation procedures and structure, create manuals/guidelines to educate end-users, and research IoT sensors and platform integration.
• Write documentation related to IoT support operations, including procedures, system documentation, technical guides, conformity reports, and user feedback, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and ISO 9001:2008.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master's programme, or higher);
• Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor's degree or equivalent);
• Recently graduated with a university degree in the field of IT Technician/Software Developer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering;
• IT/Software Development, Programming languages (Python, Java, SQL), data analysis, or web development experience.
• Knowledge in Embedded Systems, Data Analytics, ML/AI, Computer Networking, API Programming, or similar areas;
• Familiarity with IoT technologies such as IoT Security, IoT Analytics, IoT platform, IoT connectivity/communication, IoT Device Management, Azure IoT Hub, Azure IoT Central is an advantage;
• Experience in Network Infrastructure troubleshooting and maintenance, LAN/WAN technologies, Hardware configuration including network switches and routers, Identification and prevention of any potential network issues, ICT Security is an advantage;
• Familiarity with cloud computing, Microsoft cloud technologies (Office 365, SharePoint Online, Azure) and back-office platform (SharePoint, SQL) and frameworks (.NET, PowerShell, etc.) is an advantage;
• Fluent written and spoken English language skills;
• Knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage.
