Senior Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Semco Maritime A/S. As a key member of our Product Line Team in the Renewables Division, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our offshore wind business by developing and implementing commissioning strategies for large-scale offshore substation projects across Europe, Asia, and the USA.
Your primary focus will be on leading the development, implementation, and upkeep of commissioning-related documentation, ensuring that our client needs are met while also implementing improvements. You will work closely with our Tender Engineering Manager to secure that our client needs are met and that improvements are implemented.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and controlling the generic commissioning philosophy, ensuring all team members are aligned and quality standards are maintained throughout all stages.
- Planning the commissioning works and allocating resources to specific tasks.
- Monitoring the commissioning activities to ensure learnings can be harvested.
- Managing the handover between tender and execution teams.
- Defining and preparing the offshore commissioning scope of the OSS and TOC process in collaboration with our colleagues in Site Operations.
- Working closely with our Tender team focusing on our customers' Employer Requirements and Semco Maritime's own modular architecture.
- Maintaining knowledge on market demand and implementing product improvements and requirements for product line to fit future projects.
- Providing supervision and guidance to the development and execution teams.
The successful candidate will be expected to form strong working relationships with the other existing teams, including sales, tender, project management, construction, and site operations.
We are looking for a professional with a holistic mindset, ideally from an EPC or from a Yard. Your collaborative spirit and commissioning acumen will thrive in our international setting.
To succeed in this position, we expect that you possess:
- An Engineering degree or similar with a strong background in both low and high voltage systems.
- Proven experience in Commissioning Management with a high HSE mindset.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, fluent in English.
- A collaborative spirit, proactive team player attitude, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience with interface management across systems.
- Hand-on experience from construction, commissioning, and installation works on complex structures.
As a person, you are a natural team player and collaborator who enjoy working across many business areas. You have a strong drive and desire to continually develop high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment. Furthermore, you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to come up with efficient ways to solve obstacles.
You are born curious and have a positive mindset.
The position is full-time, and your work location can be either at our office in Esbjerg, Aalborg, Copenhagen, or Gdynia. You should expect up to 10-30 travel days annually.
