About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Coastal Engineer to join our team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a key member of our Ports, Marine and Coastal Department, you will be responsible for delivering technical excellence in coastal engineering, leading complex multidisciplinary projects, and driving innovation in hydraulic modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in technical coastal engineering excellence, ensuring high-quality design solutions and innovative approaches.
  • Deliver professional expertise to projects and customers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage numerical modelling tasks for waves, water levels, currents, sediment transport, and other coastal and marine phenomena using state-of-the-art software.
  • Conduct met-ocean analysis to establish design conditions for coastal and offshore projects, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and precision.
  • Design tasks using state-of-the-art coastal engineering methods to address problems related to marine structures and climate change.
  • Prepare technical documents, including reports, drawings, and specifications, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Engage and interact with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive the development and innovation of our hydraulic modelling excellence, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Take responsibility for technical project delivery as discipline lead/design manager, ensuring the highest level of quality and client satisfaction.
  • Promote our capabilities in the market, highlighting our expertise in coastal engineering and innovative solutions.
  • Co-create closely with clients and stakeholders, focusing on value creation and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Act as a role model for younger team members, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them grow and develop in their careers.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Coastal Engineer with a strong background in coastal and marine engineering. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar) and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of marine structures.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant design codes and design methodology, as well as experience with complex multidisciplinary marine projects.
  • Great communication skills, with English at a professional level and Danish highly appreciated.
  • A strong network and ability to understand clients' needs and market trends.
  • A passion for sustainability and a willingness to investigate and apply green solutions.
