We are seeking a highly skilled Toxicology Researcher to join our team at Lundbeck A/S, H in Copenhagen, Danish Capital Region, DK.
Job DescriptionAs a Toxicology Researcher, you will play a crucial role in providing toxicological support to all drug research projects at Lundbeck. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate the mechanisms and risks of toxicity for new drug candidates using in-house in vitro and in vivo methods. You will also collaborate closely with research project teams to ensure the best possible safety of new medicines for people with brain diseases.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing predictive in vitro cell assays for screening for toxicity/organ-specific toxicity of new compounds. You should have hands-on experience in in vitro or molecular biology/toxicology and non-clinical safety research. Additionally, you must possess creative and strategic skills and be motivated by solving complex scientific challenges in relation to understanding in vitro findings and translating these to the behavior of complex biological systems.
Your duties will include advising research project teams as a toxicology representative in collaboration with colleagues in the department. You will work in a dynamic research environment with experienced colleagues who take pride in delivering high-quality predictive results and safety assessments that support research projects.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the mechanisms and risks of toxicity for new drug candidates using in-house in vitro and in vivo methods.
- Collaborate closely with research project teams to ensure the best possible safety of new medicines for people with brain diseases.
- Design, develop, and optimize predictive in vitro cell assays for screening for toxicity/organ-specific toxicity of new compounds.
- Advising research project teams as a toxicology representative in collaboration with colleagues in the department.
- A solid in vitro biological background or related field of expertise at the level of Ph.D. or equivalent is essential.
- Hands-on experience in in vitro or molecular biology/toxicology and non-clinical safety research is required.
- Creative and strategic skills, along with the ability to solve complex scientific challenges, are necessary.
- Advanced communication skills, both formally and informally, are required.
