Assistant Store Manager (m/f/d)

The assistant manager is the store manager's adjutant. Their role is to assist the manager in the development of the store's turnover by strictly applying the brand's commercial policy. In the absence of the store manager, they are the guarantor of the store in terms of visual merchandising and stock management. They are a point of reference for their team and must be involved in all the tasks entrusted to them. Finally, they also help train and monitor the skills of their sales team.

Their missions are:

1/ COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Sales Development:

Their main mission is the development of the turnover of the store as well as that of the associated performance indicators (UPT, conversion rate, average basket, registered sales, loyalty sales linked to the Loyalty program).

They ensure that the sales targets set by the area manager and the store manager are met.

Welcome and support of customers:

The assistant manager develops the client file. They are the privileged contact of the best customers of the store.

The assistant manager must make sales to meet a demanding clientele and serve as a model for all members of their team by developing the Clienteling.

They must fully master the key points of the A.P.C. Sales Signature training and be able to disseminate their knowledge in terms of customer service and advice.

The assistant manager must represent the brand image of A.P.C., whether through their uniform and their general presentation or in their attitude and the way of addressing customers.

Customer litigation management and sales collection:

The assistant manager must be the point of contact in the event of a customer dispute and must ensure that there is good communication on these subjects with the store manager. They must refer any customer disputes and leave the last word to the manager.

They are responsible for the proper application of all retail procedures in terms of sales.

2/ TEAM MANAGEMENT

Team management and leadership:

The assistant manager is an example to their teams and colleagues. They contact them regularly to offer help if needed.

The assistant manager must manage their team by finding the right balance between decision making, following procedures, and communicating with the store manager.

On a daily basis:

They motivate their sales team, listen, and transmit the information received by the store manager.

They show initiative and are a force of proposals to the store manager.

Together with the store manager, they regularly participate in creating challenges to motivate their teams (all their projects must be submitted to the area manager for validation).

Recruitment and training:

Welcome and integration of new salespeople (welcome booklet, image charter, internal procedures).

Together with the store manager, they participate in sales training (on products & on sales techniques).

Feedback to the store manager on the attitude and skills of sales people.

3/ STORE MANAGEMENT

Inventory management and store keeping:

They handle deliveries, transfers and monitor shortages and occasional needs in goods (in parallel with automatic replenishment).

With the store manager, they also manage the inventories.

They check the displays, windows, and uniforms of the sales team daily in the absence of the store manager.

They help the store manager in the maintenance of the shop: follow-up of the good maintenance of the shop by the service providers.

They are responsible for cash registers, cash deposited in the safe and bank deposits.

Reporting:

The assistant manager must communicate regularly with their manager about the store situation.

In the absence of the store manager, they are responsible for forwarding the requested information/feedback to the area manager or the retail office.
