About the role 

For our Compass transformation program, focusing on optimizing and automating core finance processes, we are looking for a senior process owner for Group Finance Record to Report (R"R) referring to the PMO. 

This is a pivotal role at the intersection of finance, technology, and operations - ideal for someone with strong process and financial accounting and controlling experience thriving in a transformational environment, yet also with an eye for stabilizing core processes and reconciliation and leading by example.

As part of the Compass leadership team, you will be working closely with our Shared Service Centre (DBS) in Poland as well as local and regional finance and business teams. This is a global position with high visibility, where you can directly shape and impact how finance operates today and tomorrow.

Your roles and responsibilities

As the global process owner, you instill efficient and effective group processes for high-quality and compliant financial and management reporting (=excluding statutory reporting).

You will act as the workstream lead for R2R and will play a central role in the transformation - defining, developing and implementing for instance, new ways of working, organisational structures and business processes with the aim of improving accuracy, completeness, timeliness, transparency and control.

You will be driving project deliverables and results in close cooperation with the PMO, including:

• Standardise and automate Intercompany (IC accounting, reconciliation and elimination processes – with a special focus on Order to cash (OtC) and Procure to Pay (PtP) requirements and interdependencies.
• Co-write and maintain relevant Group Finance policies (IC, payment, financial risk management (FX), customer credit and collections etc.), manuals and RtR process descriptions – month-end, quarterly and year end closing/reporting, including relevant account reconciliations, eliminations and consolidation activities.
• Embedding best practices.
• Responsible for incorporating group work related to IFRS, tax and TP/OECD guidelines into IC accounting.
• Develop and maintain the Group financial master data model – CoA, cost centre structure, financial dimensions and reporting hierarchies.
• Develop teaching material and deliver relevant training.
• Providing general accounting and internal control support in line with IFRS, including advise on preparation and posting of journal entries including maintenance of balance sheet accounts.
• Complete month end closing transactions/procedures including controlling advise and support on ensuring that relevant GL account and trial balances are appropriately reconciled.
