At Nordic Waves Group, we're developing interactive and educational experiences within the field of climate science and sustainability. Our mission is to make complex environmental topics engaging, understandable, and inspiring through games and immersive learning.

We're now looking for a Game Developer (preferably with hands-on experience in Unity and VR) to join our volunteer team and help bring our next educational VR game to life.

You'll collaborate with a passionate international team of designers, engineers, and researchers, all driven by the goal of creating meaningful impact through play. The role involves designing, prototyping, and implementing core gameplay features and environments.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience developing games in Unity (C#).
  • Ideally has worked with VR (Oculus, Meta, SteamVR, etc.).
  • Understands game mechanics, flow, and user experience design.
  • Works well in a collaborative, creative, and international environment.
  • Shares our interest in education, sustainability, and innovation.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have 3D design or architectural visualization experience (Blender, Maya, Unreal, etc.).
  • Have experience in environmental storytelling or simulation-based learning.
