Senior Game Engineer – New Hybrid Game Project (Copenhagen)

We're looking for a
Senior Game Engineer
to help build a brand-new character-driven action game for children and families — one that blends fun, creativity, and learning in equal measure.

This is a chance to join a small, cross-disciplinary team at the start of a major new project. You'll be shaping gameplay systems, polishing game feel, and bringing playful ideas to life in Unity.

What you'll be doing

  • Build and iterate on core
    gameplay systems
    and character interactions
  • Own the
    game feel
    — making every jump, hit, and movement satisfying
  • Collaborate closely with design, art, and production to bring new features to life
  • Prototype and refine new mechanics, enemies, and interactive elements
  • Maintain and improve existing code, simplifying where possible
  • Support the team with guidance, code reviews, and mentoring

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of professional
    game development experience
  • Strong
    C# / .NET
    skills and deep
    Unity
    knowledge
  • Solid grasp of
    maths, algorithms, and data structures
  • Experience shipping or maintaining
    live Unity titles
  • Comfortable working in
    Git
    and large, collaborative codebases
  • A genuine love for games, mechanics, and finding the perfect "feel"

Nice to have

  • Experience with
    engine or tools development
  • Background in
    performance optimisation
    or
    real-time rendering
  • Mentoring or team-lead experience
  • Familiarity with backend or multiplayer systems
