Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role @ Cubris / Hitachi, located in Ballerup Municipality. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for overseeing quality management processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and implementing quality assurance practices.

As
Quality Engineer
at Cubris, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safety-critical software solutions that support sustainable rail operations. You will join a team of quality engineers, drive continuous improvement in QA processes, and align testing strategies with organizational and regulatory standards.

This role is ideal for a seasoned quality professional with knowledge and experience, a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, and a passion for building reliable systems in a collaborative, agile environment.

Must-Haves

• Proven experience leading or coordinating QA/Quality Engineering teams in a software environment.

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC models (Agile, Waterfall/V-model, Hybrid).

• Hands-on experience developing test strategies, documentation, and reporting structures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

• Technical background in software development or embedded systems.
• Practical experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to mentor QA engineers in automation, coding standards, and best practices.
• Prior experience in safety-critical industries (rail, automotive, aerospace, medical).
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards (EN 50128/50657, ISO/IEC 25010, IEC
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
• Certifications in software testing or QA methodologies (e.g. ISTQB, CSTE).
