Nordea Finance Legal consists of 11 lawyers that support all legal aspects of Nordea Finance's business activities and report to the Head of Nordea Finance Legal, who is located in Norway. Nordea Finance Legal forms part of Nordea's central legal function, Group Legal, that consist of approx. 250 lawyers in 6 countries under the leadership of Nordea's Group General Counsel.

The team in Nordea Finance Legal has a strong cross-country cooperation to ensure development and support of the individual lawyer. The team works as an integrated business partner that prioritises a deep understanding of Nordea Finance's business to enable efficient advice of the highest legal quality and the ability to participate in complex business negotiations with short notice.

About This Opportunity
As the Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel you will play a valuable role in partnering with Nordea Finance's business and corporate functions in developing their operations and providing advise within a broad range of critical business and compliance areas. Further, you will play an important role in product development and support all levels of the organisation, including the management, in finding the best solutions to drive business projects and decisions.

The Main Tasks For The Position Are

• Financial regulatory issues, including EU regulations, anti-money laundering, confidentiality, privacy and corporate governance
• Advice on specific financing schemes, including assessments of whether equipment is suitable for leasing
• Assessment of collateral and other mortgage & property law issues
• Drafting and negotiations of Danish and Nordic cooperation agreements with dealers of cars and equipment
• Customer cases, including negotiations and cases before the Financial Appeals Board
• Implementation of new regulations and development of new products
• Project management and collaboration with colleagues in Denmark and the Nordic countries
• Company law issues

You will be physically located within the Danish Nordea Finance Team in Taastrup, and you will be working closely with the rest of Nordea Finance's legal team and the rest of Group Legal (across the Nordics). You will also have the opportunity to sit part of the time together with Group Legal DK in Nordea's Danish headquarter in Copenhagen.

• Good business understanding and ability to build good relationships
• Structured and solution-oriented work method and interest in project work
• Experience with or interest in the relevant subject areas, for example from financial firms or law firms
• We are looking for candidates with a minimum of five to six years of experience
