Are you a law student with an interest in maritime contracts, shipping investments and hands-on legal work in an international setting? At Celsius Shipping we are looking for a motivated Student Assistant to join our legal team on a part-time basis (approx. 2-3 days per week) based in our Copenhagen office. You will report to Celsius' Legal Counsel, and will be liaising with commercial, technical and finance departments.

The role and key responsibilities:

  • Support our in-house legal/contract team in preparing and managing shipping contracts, investment-related contracts and associated documentation.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (commercial, operations, finance) in day-to-day legal work
  • Establishing and updating templates, checklists and other internal legal tools.
  • Legal housekeeping tasks, e.g. company and vessel registration, company governance etc.

Who we are looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a or (jur) degree, with strong interest in shipping, contract law or company law
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English and a Scandinavian language
  • Strong analytical skills, good contractual sense and detail orientation
  • Proactive, able to work independently and integrate into a professional team
  • Reliable, structured and willing to take ownership of tasks
  • Interest or willingness to learn about shipping industry and related legal frameworks
