Position Overview
The
Service Manager
oversees all service operations at Scaletronic, ensuring that technical service, maintenance, and after-sales activities are executed efficiently, profitably, and in line with customer expectations. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent coordination skills, and a business-oriented mindset to grow the company's service and aftermarket revenue.
You will lead the coordination between Software, PLC, purchasing, and Outsourced technician teams, manage the service ticket system, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Service Operations Management
- Manage and oversee all service and maintenance activities for installed systems.
- Ensure timely and efficient resolution of service tickets; oversee the proper use in the ticket system.
- Coordinate between internal departments (PLC, Software, Purchasing) and outsourced partners to ensure smooth operations and communication.
- Schedule and manage quarterly maintenance visits in line with service contracts.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented, approved, and invoiced.
After-Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new opportunities in the aftermarket sector
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular service contact and site visits
- Prepare quotes for service and after-sales products; follow up on approvals and ensure completion and billing.
- Service data and customer feedback to improve offerings and customer satisfaction?
Reporting & Financials
- Create and maintain reports on service activities, performance metrics, and profitability.
- Ensure all services performed are correctly invoiced and aligned with contract terms.
Qualifications & Skills
Technical Skills:
- Background in mechatronics, automation, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
- Understanding of PLC systems, software interfaces, and industrial automation equipment.
- Experience with ticketing systems, service coordination, and maintenance management.
Business & Communication Skills:
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities across technical and commercial teams.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Competent in preparing quotations, cost calculations, and service documentation.
Other Requirements:
- Experience in a similar service or technical management role (preferably in industrial automation or logistics technology).
- Proficient with MS Office and ERP/CRM systems. (Click up)
- Fluent in English, Scandinavian languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits.
