The Team
As a senior QA Automation Engineer you will work closely together with Cloud Engineers, the QA team and the multi-disciplinary teams on the project. You will maintain the automation pipeline, implement maintain automated tests and assist with identifying quality and performance issues. You will both review and write QA documentation as well as have a hand in all functionality, certification, localization and performance testing activities for the project. Additionally you may be called upon to mentor more junior members of the QA team.

Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant experience from the gaming industry
  • Hands-on experience programming in C++ and C#
  • Experience working with Cloud infrastructure
  • Proficient with version control software like Perforce & Git
  • Hands-on experience with modern day game engines like Unreal 4/5, CryEngine or an advanced proprietary engine
  • Experience with build pipelines and CI solutions like TeamCity
  • Experience with test automation pipelines

Of advantage, but not a requirement:

  • Programming experience with languages like Python, PowerShell & Kotlin DSL
  • Understanding of linear algebra / 3D mathematics for game development
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Knowledge of and experience with Terraform
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions

Responsibilities

  • Work with the QA team to understand testing needs and support them creating automated tests
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests
  • Work closely with the development team to understand which features are in a testable state
  • Implement tests in Unreal Engine 5
  • Debug and troubleshoot bugs and crashes
  • Maintain the build pipeline and test automation framework
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest software development technologies and trends
