About the Role:

Join our dynamic team as a Physical Commodities Project Student Assistant in our Aalborg Denmark office, where you will play a key role in supporting the build-out and administration of our physical European power and gas markets business. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business administration, legal and compliance, operations, and project management within the fast-evolving physical commodities business. You will help design and implement systems and processes that streamline operational, legal, and compliance tasks, while collaborating with stakeholders across the firm.

This is a 6 month internship, working between 14-20 hours per week starting in March, with the opportunity to become permanent.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers, and legal/operations teams to support project planning, execution, and delivery for physical commodities initiatives in Denmark and broader European markets.
  • Assist in building and documenting repeatable processes for onboarding users to trading, clearing, capacity, and storage platforms, including setting permissions and approvals.
  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operations to allocate tasks, respond to regulatory and business queries, and ensure adherence to market requirements.
  • Support the setup of new markets, clearing banks, and operational platforms, ensuring all administrative and legal requirements are met.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, reports, and meeting minutes for accurate record-keeping and knowledge transfer.
  • Help educate team members and contribute to the development of systems that make recurring tasks more efficient and scalable.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements:

  • High-energy individual with a passion for project management, business administration, and learning about European power and gas markets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate across legal, compliance, and operations teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
  • Availability to work between 14-20 hours per week during the internship period, with flexibility for increased hours or permanent employment based on performance.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation date between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028
  • Currently pursuing a degree in business administration, law, finance, or a related field. Coursework or experience in project management is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in project management, commodities, energy markets, or legal/operational roles is a plus.
  • Prior internship or work experience in a professional or legal/operations setting is desirable but not mandatory.
