Pascal develops high-end amplifier solutions for some of the world's most demanding pro-audio brands. We're scaling our Operations and are looking for an Electronic Category Manager with a strong technical understanding to strengthen our sourcing organization, and ensure we have the right technology, suppliers, and strategies to support our global growth.
What You'll Do
Use you Technology and Business knowledge to:
Own and manage the entire electronic and magnetic component commodity area at Pascal
- Select and evaluate suppliers, balancing pricing, quality, performance, technology and long-term scalability
- Build strong partnerships with suppliers to secure timely access to new technologies for R&D
- Guide R&D during NPI to ensure multi-supplier setups that support global scalability (China/NA/EU) and best-in-class cost
Act as interface between product development projects and suppliers to ensure material readiness for builds and introduction to mass production
Coordinate the Electronic Commodity Management - driving alignment with stakeholders across Quality, NPI Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain
- Implement strategic procurement processes to enhance the supply chain, optimize cost, and ensure stable supply
- Negotiate contracts, track key suppliers via KPIs, and run regular supplier review meetings – virtuel and onsite
- Stay ahead of technology trends and market dynamics to influence design decisions early
- Drive cost-down initiatives, run yearly RFQ processes, and ensure cost savings above industry benchmarks
- Act as an escalation point for supplier-related issues and compile input for QBRs
- Expect up to 4 weeks of international travelling yearly
What You Bring
- A B.Sc or M.Sc in Electrical Engineering (or similar) combined with strong business acumen
- Solid experience in category/commodity management and international manufacturing or supply chain environments
- A strong professional network within electronic components and suppliers
- Experience driving development with external suppliers and collaborating closely with R&D
- Highly structured working style with strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Advanced skills in Excel and solid proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication skills in English
