Your challenges

As our new Energy Manager you will take a regional role responsible across our 3 PI factories in Denmark. All 3 locations have a mix of mass production and new Product Introduction (PI). You can be employed at either of these locations, and you will report into the QHSE&E (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment & Energy) Manager at the respective location. During a typical work week you will allocate your time and physical presence across all 3 locations according to your priorities, and it is therefore important that you are flexible in regards to travelling across these locations regularly.

Your key purpose in this role is to :

ensure implementation and alignment of our VELUX Energy Excellence Standards, and thereby ensure Energy Management according ISO 50001 standards across locations – and across our SE&PI organization.ensure mapping and prioritization of Energy related activities across locations.ensure proper focus, awareness and good behavior on energy in the organization.

More specifically, your key tasks will be to:

Make a plan for “what, how and when” in regards to Energy Management across our 3 locations.Implement and develop monitoring system in PI and develop local superuser.Act as process owner on energy management (method development, templates, internal audits, management evaluation, process confirmation tools).Monitor energy performance across PI.Identify local and cross-location energy optimization projects.Secure and support energy assessments in the development and purchase of new equipment (and buildings).Ensure compliance with authorities and legal requirements.Establish, develop and operate the PI Energy Committee.Develop energy reporting; ESG reporting, legislation, energy subsidies.Build and develop the Energy Management landscape in QHSE&E management system.

You will collaborate with our internal Facility Energy Managers as well as our Center of Excellence functions.

The position requires limited international travel, in the range of 5-10 days per year.

It is important that you thrive in a dynamic environment, with new assignments and tasks arising continuously. You will handle a wide range of assignments and stakeholders at the same time, which is where your customer focus and structured approach comes into play.

Your qualifications

The ideal candidate has several years of documented experience in a similar role and is able to perform (at least the majority of) the above mentioned areas of responsibilities.

In addition, it is essential for this role that you

Are able to maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across locations.Bring minimum 5 years’ of experience from an ISO-certified production company, preferably from a role where you have worked with Energy standards.Bring a solid technical foundation (e.g. from an engineering or other technical education) and strong technical understanding.Are proficient in English, and are able to have a professional conversation in Danish as well.

It is seen as an advantage if your bring experience working as project manager, or in a setting where you coordinated or led several complex tasks simultaneously.

Through the partnership with WWF, VELUX finances forest protection and restoration projects that capture the equivalent of our historical emissions from operations since 1941 and up until 2041. The verified carbon units generated by the forest projects are retired and donated as a contribution to the host countries’ national climate target under the Paris agreement.
