Your new role

As our new Project Manager in the Energy from Waste and Carbon Capture team you will join 2000 high performing colleagues across 35 countries who are committed and passionate about delivering innovation and technology to sustainable energy and carbon reduction projects. In this highly visible role you will lead in project execution and developing strong relationships with existing and new clients, growing our business in terms of revenue and geographical footprint, and strengthening our reputation as a trusted advisor to our customers.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Managing small-scale projects and studies with input from technical experts to the clients’ satisfaction.  Together with Senior Project Managers, managing large and complex international projects, including management of Ramboll’s consultancy team, design and engineering management, elaboration of tender documents, tender evaluation and contracting as well as management of contractors, design reviews and supervision during fabrication, erection and commissioning. Proactively contributing to the work in our competence team for project management with knowledge sharing, collection of lessons learnt and development of best practices and tools.  Increasing your technical knowledge and insight through projects as well as participation in relevant technical competence teams activities. Mentoring and support of junior team members, providing guidance on technical and commercial matters, and encouraging them to contribute their thoughts and ideas to the wider team.

Your new team

Our Energy from Waste team is recognized as the leading international consultant in this field of business. We provide consulting engineering and design services out of offices in Copenhagen, Harwell, Zurich, Singapore and Perth. We represent a truly international and dynamic environment and undertake projects worldwide in energy recovery from waste (combustion and other thermal treatment technologies), generation of biogas, waste sorting and resource recovery, carbon capture etc.

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering (thermal energy, process or mechanical) Measurable professional working experience from the thermal energy sector, both with engineering and project management tasks. Experience within energy from waste is an advantage, but not a requirement. Excellent spoken and written Danish and English. Good German language skills would be an advantage, but not a requirement. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and contractors. Interested in travelling to meetings and projects in Denmark and abroad.
