The role is based in Ørestaden, Denmark and is reporting to the Head of Business Finance and Analytics, Novo Nordisk.

 

The Position

As a Market & Patient Insights Manager you will play a key role in the Business Finance and Analytics team to ensure a strong insights foundation for our business. You will work as business insights partner closely collaborating with our commercial teams and be responsible for generating actionable commercial insights, near and long-term in-market forecasting as well as monitor critical market and competitor trends.

 

You will have the following key responsibilities to:

  • Be a business partner towards Rare Disease, Insulin and Market Access and Public Affairs (MAPA) units and ensure relevant, timely, and recurring reporting of market and competitor insights.
  • Drive market research and real-world evidence generation use within and across therapy areas incl. e.g. diabetes and obesity and generate patient insights in collaboration with affiliate commercial teams.
  • Be an active sparring partner for the Commercial MT (CMT) and set the agenda pertaining to market intelligence and support the affiliate commercial organisation in utilising market and competitor insights.
  • Structure and synthesise market insights needed for the annual commercial mid-term strategy process process.
  • Create a framework and digital solution for field force competitor and business intelligence gathering, analysis and sharing and support and challenge forecasts with insights into latest market dynamics.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to have Master’s degree in business, finance, IT, statistics, or another relevant degree, and proficiency in data analytics and insights generation either from a similar market analysis position or from a data analytics, commercial performance management, or finance partnering role, and an aptitude for data visualisation and use of data intelligence tools expected (minimum Microsoft Suite, experience with PowerBI considered an advantage).

To be effective in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Solid business understanding coupled with a commercial mindset.
  • Exposure to managing, analysing, and building large datasets from previous role(s) preferred.
  • Experience from a local business unit as well as with sales and NN product portfolio is considered an additional strength.
  • Ability to set direction, be self-driven and curious.
  • Solid communication skills; compelling storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical mind and ability to drive complex projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including ability to build relationships and trust and to obtain commitment across the organisation.

 

About the Department

The Business Finance and Analytics team is part of the Finance and Operations department in Novo Nordisk Denmark, based in Ørestaden, Copenhagen. The finance team is supporting the Danish and Icelandic sales affiliates with finance partnering incl. budgeting and sales and cost performance reporting, in-depth market analysis and supply chain. The department consists of an international and diverse group of highly dedicated professionals. The team is characterised by a lot of energy, collaboration, and trust. The team is ambitious, and the pace is high, but the tone is informal and there is a fun and good-spirited atmosphere in the department.
