Our Grid Solutions team located in Ballerup, are experts in delivering turnkey high voltage substation solutions for onshore applications here in Denmark. We are also the Grid Technologies’ Global Offshore System Centre of Competency for AC solutions, focusing our knowledge and expertise in the connection of offshore wind generation to the electricity transmission system on a global level.
As a Project Procurement Manager, you will have a central role in our project teams. You will also be able to play a central role in the bid phase, where you contribute with price benchmarking, mapping of subcontractor agreements, etc. As a person, you are outgoing, willing to learn new things, and passionate about making your special contribution to the energy sector and the common transition to green energy.
How You’ll Make an Impact, Your Responsibilities
· Establish Strategic procurement in projects. map the procurement strategy for a project, execute the strategy, evaluate, select, and monitor suppliers, negotiate new procurement and subcontracting agreements, etc.
· Manage the top commodities for the projects and leverage synergies by using and involving the procurement network within Siemens Energy worldwide.
· Drive proper sourcing processes, control all Procurement resources and activities in the project and inform all involved within Procurement to deliver optimum impact for the business relating to budget, availability, timeline and quality.
· Contribute actively to the bid phase with providing potential suppliers, obtaining quotations, create price benchmarks etc.
· Develop contract award strategy under consideration of the project goals, cost and quality, successful presentation of Total Cost Comparison in a sourcing board and implementation thereof.
· Carry out supplier management and ongoing evaluations, including and in collaboration with QHSE department to prepare audit plans.
· Have close contact with both Danish and foreign suppliers and support project managers, technical project managers, QHSE and bid team with all tasks related to procurement.
· Make use and be part of an international and worldwide acting procurement network and contribute to local and global savings targets.
· Generate, document and implement savings CNI; plan, monitor and report on relevant KPI ( CNI, CTG, eAuctions)
What you bring
· Technical background with a bachelor’s or master’s degree within the field of electrical engineering or similar.
· Proven experience preferably in project procurement for electrical commodities such as Installation, Transmission Products, Protection & Control Systems or similar expertise in technical functions.
· Capability to negotiate and operate in different cultures.
· Ability to work independently, show initiative and commitment to the work tasks and relationships.
· Strong collaboration with our project managers, technical project managers, QHSE and bid team and thrive in a position where you must be outreach and talk to many people every day locally and globally.
· Excellent managerial and communication skills for interacting with internal business and external collaboration partners as well as suppliers.
· Change advocator, seeking for solutions and improvements.
· Easy-to-approach and connective personality; inspiring and positive mindset
· Proficiency in English and preferably in Danish both orally and in writing
